The majority of W2 work-from-home opportunities do not provide the option of a flexible schedule, they usually have 3 to 4 different schedules to choose from. This is where the role of an independent contractor comes into play. You could be a full-time student who needs extra money, or you could be a parent looking for a way to supplement your primary income. Another possibility is that you are looking for a job because you have children. With these types of situations, it’s Best at times to get a work-from-home job that lets you pick on your own schedule.

Which businesses allow you to choose your own work hours and have flexible schedules?

Last but not least, some of these companies do pay on a talk-by-minute basis; however, this is dependent on the contracts that they may have. However, keep in mind that because you are an independent contractor with 1099, you are considered to be self-employed and are therefore responsible for paying your own taxes.
